Bungalow

A bungalow is a house in which the principal living accommodation is arranged on a single storey, sometimes with additional rooms formed within the roof space.

Bungalows are generally single-storey homes, although some have subsequently been extended upwards or converted to create additional accommodation within the roof.

Their relatively simple structure and roof form can make them suitable for substantial reconfiguration, depending on the individual building. Projects may include open-plan kitchen and living spaces, rear extensions, bathroom alterations and loft or attic conversions.

As with any property, the feasibility of structural alterations or roof conversions depends on the existing construction and should be assessed for the individual building.
