Martin Johnstone is the founder of Johnstone Joinery & Building, an Edinburgh-based building and joinery company specialising in property renovations, structural alterations, extensions and bespoke joinery.
Working across Edinburgh and the surrounding area, Martin has extensive hands-on experience renovating both traditional and modern properties. His work regularly involves the particular challenges found in Edinburgh homes, from reconfiguring tenement flats and opening up existing layouts to completing kitchens, bathrooms, attic works and full-property refurbishments.
Martin takes a practical, project-led approach to building work, working directly with clients from the early stages of a renovation through to construction and completion. Projects often involve coordinating multiple trades and combining structural work, joinery, plumbing, electrical work and finishing to deliver a complete renovation rather than treating each element in isolation.
