Fitted Kitchen

A fitted kitchen is a coordinated arrangement of cabinets, worktops and appliances installed and fixed to suit a room.

Fitted kitchens can use standard modular units, adapted components or bespoke cabinetry. The defining feature is that the installation is integrated into the room rather than made up of freestanding furniture.

In an Edinburgh home, careful measuring is important where walls, floors and chimney breasts are irregular. Service positions, door clearances and appliance ventilation should be resolved before units are ordered.

A bespoke kitchen is a more specific form designed and made for the particular project. A fitted kitchen describes the installed result and does not by itself establish how customised the units are.
